The University of Worcester was originally founded as a Teacher Training College in 1946, before being granted full university status in 2005. It is currently one of the fastest growing universities in the UK and more than 10,000 undergraduate, postgraduate and part-time students are enrolled.

University of Worcester graduates continue to enjoy great employability prospects, with 15 out of 16 currently in work or continuing to study within six months of graduating. In 2013, the Guardian awarded Worcester with the contribution to the local community award in recognition of the Hive, the UK’s first public and university library.

Worcester continues to excel in the subjects of Nursing and Midwivery, Psychology, Teacher Education and Sports Science, which recently benefitted from a newly opened 2,000-seat stadium.
