Leeds Beckett University is one of the most popular universities in the UK with a history dating back almost 200 years. More than 150 un­dergraduate and 190 postgraduate courses are offered, as well as foundation and pre-sessional English programmes. The University places a strong focus on employability after graduation and all courses include at least two weeks of work-related learning per year. Work placements are encouraged and very popular, with nearly half of all students taking a sandwich course.
